A 65-inch X900F, which costs $2,500 more than the Master Series Z9F, is a much more affordable option at $2,000
A 65-inch Samsung Q7F will cost you $2,200, while a LG C7 OLED costs $2,500. A TCL 6-Series is $1,040. This last is not a typo. The TV is made from high-quality materials and has a tasteful design that draws attention to its features. The ideal TV will disappear when turned on and leave you with an image. Thanks to its thin aluminum, the X900F comes very close to this ideal.

You can position the brushed-metal feet to support the TV stand-mounted with your toes in or out. Although we don’t like the look of the latter, those with limited entertainment stand space will appreciate the ability to reduce the TV’s footprint.The Sony X900F is beautiful because it doesn’t try too hard.There are channels at the back of these feet for some cable management. However, there aren’t any other ways to keep wires in control like with other TVs. Users will need to be creative to keep the TV’s connection bays clean, as they face outward to the sides without covers.

The X900F does not automatically detect the need to support enhanced bandwidth support like some competitors. You will need to activate that feature manually (instructions are below). Although the X900F does not support variable refresh rate (VRR), it is a feature that can be found on Samsung QLED TVs.
The X1 Extreme processor from Sony is under the hood. It is the heart of the TV and the main reason why you should be considering it. It’s not something you think about when looking at the X900F, but that processor is what produces its stunning picture. The X1 Extreme gives the X900F a Sony-like look, thanks to its excellent color management and clean motion resolution, which is great for games and 24-fps movies.
The X900F was the first TV to support HDR10 and HDR-Language for HDR processing. Since then, Sony has released a firmware update that endows eligible 2018 Sony TVs with Dolby Vision HDR processing – you’ll get it when the TV automatically updates during setup. Sony’s object-based HDR enhancement is a great addition to the X900F’s HDR handling. It works well in conjunction with the TV’s full-array LED backlighting system.

Unless you’re a passionate videophile, the Sony X900F will deliver a sharp, color-controlled image with excellent contrast and appropriate brightness. Select gaming mode to reduce input lag and make subtle adjustments to get the picture exactly where you want.
We can’t give specific settings recommendations for every TV, as each TV is different. However, there are some useful tips that we believe all users should follow when setting up their TV.
Start with one of these picture presets. Next, go to the External Inputs section. Move down to HDMI signal type and then turn on enhanced format. Assuming that you are connecting high-end 4K HDR sources via HDMI ports 2 or 3.
Next, open Advanced Settings and scroll down to choose Motion. Turn Motionflow off and Cinemotion on high. This will eliminate soap opera effect and calm judder when watching movies.
Expert 1 is the best choice for color temperature. It is close to the preferred color standard used by calibrators. Expert 1 will also give you the closest professional setting without hiring a professional. You can adjust the settings to make it look warmer, but it will have an impact on the color accuracy.
For brightness, the majority of people won’t need more than 8 or 9 for most rooms. You can adjust HDR mode to maximum brightness. HDR mode can also benefit from Auto Local Dimming set at high. However, we recommend local dimming be reduced to medium or low to non-HDR viewing.

Performance
The X900F TV is a beautiful and elegant TV. However, you can get more features and slightly better performance in some areas. But the X900F LCD TV is the best value. It’s not cheap, but it’s well worth it.
The X900F is a relaxing TV viewing experience.
Although Vizio’s P Series Quantum can produce excellent pictures, the user experience is not the same. You don’t get Sony’s level of picture-processing and you pay more. TCL’s 6-Series offers astonishing quality for the money, but they don’t possess the color accuracy or processing chops you’ll find in the X900F, Sony Xbr49x900f Black Friday Deals 2022 plus we found panel consistency to be an issue. The Samsung Q7F is quite compelling and it will be difficult to choose between it and X900F.
